The Jowicz all wood, hand crafted chess set features a classic design in a practical size.
The King is 3.35" (8.5cm) tall, theQueen is 2.85"(7.1 cm), and the Pawn is 1.46"(3.7cm). The handsomely decorated board measures 16"W x 16"D. Squares measure 1.5"x 1.5" (4cm x 4cm). The board is made from beech and birchwhile the weighted, felt bottom chessmen are made from hornbeam and sycamore. All wood for this set is plantation grown and made in Poland without child labour. Secured chessmen compartments provide room inside the board to securely store each chess piece; each chess piece is individually protected in formed compartments inside the folding chess board. A beauty to play with and display.
