This hand crafted, all wood chess set is made in Poland from plantation grown wood, and without child labour. The classic design makes it worthy of display. The King measures 4.5" (11cm),The Queen 3.66" (9.3cm) and the Pawn, 2.28" (5.8cm). The hinged, folding board measures 21.65"W x 1.18"H x 21.65"D (55cmx3cmx55cm). Each square measures 2.24"x2.24" (5.7cm x 5.7cm). The board is made from beech and birch wood and the weighted, felt bottom chessmen are made from hornbeam and sycamore wood. The Ambassador is the largest size Polish set we sell.
When not in use, the chessmen are securely stored inside the folding board in their own compartments.
